Remember the mid-'80s cartoon show about two dueling groups of robots — the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons — with the power to transform into cars, jets, helicopters, motorcycles and such? Well, they're coming to the big screen in this live-action adaptation.
MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE
There were many surprises in 2007. Transformers was one of those surprises. The last time Micheal Bay had a summer release, he bombed with 2004's The Island. Transformers didn't bomb. In fact, it launched a new franchise. I'll be shocked if we don't see a sequel by summer 2009. Who knew giant robots from outer-space could be so much fun. Jamie says "8".

This was an excelent movie, and with out a doubt the best film last summer. I thought this film was going to be good, but it ended up being great. Generaly, films about robots from space arn't that great. But this one was different. I was always a fan of the Transformers franchise and this movie did it justice. And i was actualy suprised to see a Michael Bay film do this good.
