During the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fight to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army in an effort to inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy.

For those who passed on 300 thinking it was all special effects and nothing else...were dead wrong. Yes, the special effects were great but the screenplay was better. The themes of honor and loyalty play center stage in this action packed and bloody adventure film. 300 has a good chance at making my top 10 list of the year as well as being the most original film of 2007. Jamie says "8".
