Unless you are an Ed Norton fan..."Down In the Valley" can be ignored. The film is billed as a modern day western. I disagree with that tag-line. The story takes place in modern day Los Angeles. Harlan, a twenty-something drifter, thinks he's a cowboy. He wears a cowboy hat, cowboy boots and carries lasso rope with him. He woos a young woman with his simple cowboy ways. Her father disapproves of their relationship on the basis that he feels that Harlan is nothing buit trouble.
There is a slight plot twist midway through the movie that made it interesting. If you decide to watch "Down In the Valley"...ask yourself..Who is the bad guy? You might be surprised in the end. I give it a "6".
